In accordance with House Bill 4130 (86th Legislature, 2019), the Texas Secretary of State shall prescribe specific standards and requirements for the certification of an electronic devices used to accept voters under Chapter 63 of the Texas Election Code. The process and standards for the certification of these devices includes a Technical Examination performed by a National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP Lab Code 200733-0: TESTING) of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) certified testing laboratory.
As an accredited (NVLAP Lab Code 200733-0: TESTING) test lab, SLI Compliance has reviewed the newly developed Texas Certification Procedures for Electronic Pollbooks as well as the Texas Technical Testing Matrix for Electronic Pollbooks. We are available to provide perform an assessment of the technical requirements and to prepare a test report for submission to the State of Texas during the month of November.
SLI Compliance offers certification testing of Electronic Pollbooks against state requirements. Most states require that Electronic Pollbooks undergo testing by an independent testing authority recognized by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP Lab Code 200733-0: TESTING) of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The approval and certification of Electronic Pollbooks is conducted in accordance with standards adopted by each state.
